Week 1 - THE APPEAL OF SCI-FI

My favorite quote from this week. As a creative writer, I guess it just reminds me of a lot of things; how we speculate and intuit facts and fictions from our universe.

“All fiction is metaphor. Science fiction is metaphor. What sets it apart from older forms of fiction seems to be its use of new metaphors…. The future, in fiction, is a metaphor.”

I agree with the quote that you have chosen. In my opinion, Science Fiction is a way that humans have found in order to “hide” painful realities and investigate every mystery that surrounds us.

I think its a wise choice to select this quote. Science fiction is a genre which makes you intellectual and it gives you a sense of focus. It motivates you to look for more and more and it gives us various messages to save our world from upcoming dangers.

As a person who enjoys non-fiction because it actually happened, I always find the best fiction stories based on actual events, past or present and is usually a spin off or a what if situation that even if I only knew of it’s fiction counter part, also teaches me about the real life event.
